2025 Meeting Minutes

SYRACUSE PHA MEETING
November 10, 2025

There was a Syracuse PHA meeting on Monday,September 8, 2025.    Present at the meeting was Debbie Lorge, Liz Pinto, Mark Frohm, Heather Heberle, Margie Heberle, Shelly Shaulinski, Sue Mauro, Chris LaBarge, Sarah Donahue, Debbie Barmaster, Becky Bates, Jaime Bates

Secretary's Report : A motion was made to accept the Secretary’s report dated September 2025.  The motion was made by Mark ;seconded by Liz and carried.

Treasurer's Report : A copy is on file with the secretary.  Chris made a motion to accept the report,  Sue seconded.  All are in favor.

Membership Report : Mark made a motion to accept.  Sue seconded. All are in favor.

Rules Report : Please be aware of the new 2026 rules.

High Point / Banquet Report :

  • The Life of A Show Girl will be the theme of the banquet.

  • Saturday January 3 at the Woodcliff in Fairport.

Election Report : Jaime Bates, Debbie , Anne Wernert, and Sue Mauro were re-elected as Directors

PHA Show :

  • Amy Sweeney will again sponsor the Pairs Class.

  • Claire Afflack will again sponsor the hospitality room.

  • Andrea Wells and Claudia Roland will judge in 2026.

  • Jay Mullin and David Wilbur (hopefully) will judge the April show.

PHA Finals Show : Mark will ask Tony Sgarlata to judge the October show.

The next meeting will be Monday March 16, 2026  at 11:00 at the Creekside Inn in Rush.

SYRACUSE PHA MEETING: March 17, 2025

There was a Syracuse PHA meeting on Monday, March 17.    Present at the meeting were Mark Frohm, Gail Miller, Sue Mauro, Anne Wernert, Liz Pinto, Shelly Shaulinski, Becky Bates, Jaime Bates, Heather Heberle, Sarah Donahue, Margie Heberle, Chris LaBarge, Debbie Lorge

Secretary's Report : A motion was made to accept the Secretary’s report dated November 2024.  The motion was made by Liz ;seconded by Anne and carried.

Treasurer's Report : A copy is on file with the secretary.
Mark made a motion to accept the report.  Sue seconded.  All are in favor.

High Point Report : Saturday January 3, 2026 will be the 2025 banquet.

Election Report : Nothing to report.

PHA Show: 2026 Andrea Wells will judge.  We are looking for a second judge for 2026.
We will do a 50/50 raffle to benefit the Kevin Babbington Foundation.

Old Business :

New Business : David Wilbur will judge the 2025 PHA Finals in Hamburg.
Possibly ending the show on Saturday pending Buffalo Bills game on Sunday (edit – the Bills have a Bye week)

The next meeting will be Monday June 9, 2025  at 11:00 at the Rush Creekside in Rush NY
