| Syracuse PHA Meeting June 11, 2007 There was a Syracuse PHA meeting on Monday, June 11, 2007. Present at the meeting was Steve Kirk, Andy Lomker, Mark Frohm, Shelly Shaulinski, Sue Mauro, Kim Montrois, Debbie Barmaster, Gail Miller, Leslie Miller, Naomi Blumenthal, Becky Bates, Jamie Bates, Connie Chave, Kaitlin Bell, and Terese Bouchard. Secretary's Report : A motion was made to accept the Secretary’s report dated March 19,2007. The motion was made by Kim Montrois; seconded by Becky Bates and carried. Treasurer's Report : A copy is on file with the secretary. We had a great spring show! We will transfer money from the checking account into the Putnum account. Andy made a motion to transfer money to the Putnum account. The motion was seconded by Mark and carried. All are in favor. A motion was made to accept the treasurer’s report by Mark Frohm; seconded by Gail Miller. All are in favor. Membership Report : David Boley, Karen Peterson, Heather Anderson, Stacy Feocco were voted in as new professional members. All are in favor. Tom Avery, Betty Sue Grant, Amanda Kellogg, Nancy Kohler, Chris LaBarge, Kelly Maerlander, Amy Montrois still have not paid their 2007 dues. Rules Report : The topic of shows ending before 9 p.m. was again discussed. An idea was brought up that if shows run past 9p.m. , those late exhibitors would receive a 25% entry refund. If a show runs past 10p.m., they would receive a 50% refund. If a show runs past 11p.m., they would receive 100% refund. Topic was tabled for a future meeting. High Point Report : The 2007 banquet will be held in Ithaca. We will try to have the 2007 banquet on Saturday January 5, 2008. If a hotel cannot be found for that date, we will move a week later to January 12. (POST NOTE – the banquet will be January 5) Election Report : Mike McGowan, Andy Lomker, Nancy Bechtel, Sue Mauro are up for re-election this year. The 4 officers are also up for re-election. Naomi – President; Gail – Vice-president; Andy Lomker – treasurer; Shelly Shaulinski – secretary. Andy would like to step down from being treasurer. If you are interested, please contact Kim Montrois. Scholarship Report : Nothing to report. Grievance Report : A pre-green horse was found to be ineligible. The pre-green points will be redistributed for horse shows where it received ribbons. Show Date Report : The Willows and Western PA horse shows will no longer be Syracuse PHA horse shows. The motion was made by Mark Frohm. All are in favor. PHA Show : We were fined by the USEF for running over the time allowed at our horse show. We will work on ideas for saving time next year. The new footing should be dropped by July 1. Old Business : Nothing to report. New Business : Nothing to report. The next Syracuse PHA meeting will be Monday September 24 at 4 p.m. at the Brookwood Inn in Victor Directions to the Brookwood Inn: Rt 90 (Thruway) to Victor Exit 45 Follow Rt 490W to Exit 27 Bushnell's Basin (about 2 to 3 miles) At exit light, turn Right onto Rt 96.
